WordsYour credit score, as people say it
CIBIL
TransUnion CIBIL, first called Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited, was the country’s first credit bureau, set up in 2000, and is one of the four operating today with Equifax, Experian and CRIF High Mark. RBI’s report on a public credit registry notes that its score is commonly known as the CIBIL score.
Banks report your cards and loans to all four, so each bureau keeps its own report on you. RBI’s rules have every bureau set its scores between 300 and 900, and give you one free full report, score included, once each calendar year.
