Got my first credit card at 18: Kotak811 Super Money, against an FD.

I’m 18 and had no credit history at all, so a regular credit card wasn’t going to happen yet. I went for the Kotak811 Super Money card on the super.money app, which is backed by a fixed deposit. I put ₹2000 in the FD and got a ₹1800 limit.

The approval process was surprisingly quick. I completed the video KYC, and the card was approved within around 20–30 minutes. I was expecting it to take longer since I had no previous credit history, so the quick approval was probably the biggest surprise for me.

It works on UPI through super.money. I’ll add an update when my first statement comes and when my CIBIL score shows up.
