slice card rejected twice as a student: I picked the wrong account
Student · 18–20 · No history · Metro
I’m 19, a student, with no credit history. A few months ago I applied for the slice card and got rejected. The app let me apply again later, so in the meantime I kept using my slice account regularly, so there’d be some banking history on it.
When I reapplied, the app asked which bank account to check. I picked my other account, the secondary one I hardly use, instead of the slice account I’d been building up. Rejected again. I’m fairly sure that’s what did it: the account I gave them showed almost nothing going in or out.
If an application asks you for a bank account, give it the one you actually use.
I’ve since started with an FD-backed card instead, the Utkarsh superCard.
Has this happened to you?
One line is enough. The next person with the slice UPI will find it.
