WordsGift voucher
GV
Short for gift voucher, also called a gift card: a code worth a set amount at one brand, valid until a date that can’t be extended. Cards give them as rewards; HDFC Bank’s terms for its Regalia Gold card, for example, pay its quarterly and yearly milestone rewards as vouchers.
Points can be spent on vouchers too, sometimes at less than on travel; a Regalia Gold point is worth up to ₹0.35 on vouchers and ₹0.50 on flights. Vouchers bought with a card can earn points, and HDFC Bank’s Infinia terms cap the extra points on those bought through SmartBuy at 3,000 a month from 1 July 2026.
