WordsCredit limit increase
CLI
Short for credit limit increase: a higher limit on a card you already have. RBI’s rules count a limit increase as an upgrade, and a bank can’t raise your limit without your explicit consent.
You can ask, and banks also offer them; HDFC Bank’s MITC, for example, says you can write in with income documents and the bank decides at its discretion. A bank can also cut a limit, and RBI’s rules say it has to tell you when it does.
